Job Title: Senior Telecommunication Radio Engineer
Location: PNG, Port Moresby

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Telecommunication Radio Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of telecommunication radio networks. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of radio frequency (RF) systems, strong expertise in Cisco technologies, and hands-on experience with Cambium, Mimosa, Ubiquiti, and other radio platforms.
Key Responsibilities:

Radio Network Design and Implementation: Lead the design and deployment of telecommunication radio networks, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.

Cisco Network Integration: Collaborate with network teams to integrate Cisco routers, switches, and other Cisco-based technologies into the overall radio network infrastructure.

RF Engineering: Conduct RF site surveys, frequency planning, and spectrum management to ensure efficient and secure radio network operations.

Experience with Radio Platforms: Design, implement, and manage solutions using Cambium, Mimosa, Ubiquiti, and other relevant wireless systems to enhance network capabilities.

System Monitoring and Optimization: Implement tools and methodologies for monitoring network performance, identifying issues, and ensuring the highest quality of service.

Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Provide technical leadership for resolving complex issues related to radio networks, Cisco infrastructure, and other wireless platforms. Perform routine maintenance and upgrades to ensure system integrity.

Project Management: Lead projects from conception through implementation, ensuring that milestones, budgets, and timelines are met.

Documentation and Compliance: Develop detailed documentation for network design, configurations, and maintenance procedures. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, network operations, and external vendors to ensure seamless network integration and operations.

Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to junior engineers and technical staff to ensure the continuous development of the team.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

Experience:
-
4+ years of experience in radio engineering and telecommunication systems.

Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including implementation and configuration.

Proven experience with Cambium, Mimosa, Ubiquiti, or similar radio technologies.

Technical Skills:
-
Expertise in RF systems, wireless communication, and frequency planning.

In-depth knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.

Experience with Cisco IOS, Catalyst switches, and network automation tools.
-
Familiarity with radio transmission technologies (e.g., microwave, satellite, etc.).

Certifications: Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE) preferred.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative team player.
